About Jalisco

ATVJalisco 100pixsFirefighters Crossing Borders began assisting firefighters in the State of Jalisco in 2008. Our first mission was a joint effort with TAPFIRE to assist in the creation of a fire department for Ayutla. TAPFIRE, our partner agency, was instrumental in the equipping and training the first-ever fire department of El Grullo in 2006.

In 2012 we took on Puerto Vallarta providing consulting and training opportunities. FFCB assisted in a review and creation of a Master Plan for the City and our regional reprsentative currently heads up the Vallarta Fire EMS Project Team of community organizations working to improve emergency services for the people of PV.

Mission to Ayutla

on . Posted in Jalisco

As of the 20th of Feb, the first members of the joint training team are on the ground and setting up for the training of the Ayutla firefighters. Over the next several days the remaining instructors will arrive and get the job done.

One glitch encountered was that we were not able to get the engine and equipment down before going. Paul Wright from Tapfire has arranged to work with the neighboring city and they will have some fire equipment to train with. Once the engine and equipment get down ( possibly within the month) Joel and another team will go down to complete the training and make sure they are off and running!

When they can get to a computer our guys will let us know how things are going, stay tuned.
