Catching a ride with Comox Rotary
A school bus load of fire, rescue, and medical equipment is enroute to Nogales US this month. Nine members of a Rotary Club of Comox, B.C. generously offered to assist Marina Puerto Vallarta Rotary Club and FFCB with bringing the equipment down to a warehouse in Nogales on the Mexican border. Later when the permits are ready this equipment will find its way down to support the firefighters of Puerto Vallarta.
The Comox Rotary members are on a mission to deliver a donated school bus, ambulance, access van, and SUV to a little town south of Puerto Vallarta they rendezvoused with FFCB Regional Representative Jordan Pollack along Highway 101 outside of Port Townsend WA to pick up a van load of equipment. They then traveled on to meet up with Executive Director Joel Shwartz in Port Orchard WA for more.
This is the first shipment of equipment in support FFCB and Rotary's unified community project focused on improving fire department service in Puerto Vallarta. For more information on this project visit Region 2 News / Jalisco.
Thank you Comox Rotary members for helping to strengthen our developing relationship with International Rotary.
