on . Posted in General News & Announcements

Settling back into the routine our Travelers have been relating the fun stories of our most recent trip to Tecate, Ensenada and San Felipe. Lots of discussion about planning for our next incursion.

Our Board recently met and came away with plans for this years remaining and next years missions.

Ayutla, An article was recently published in our local Gateway newspaper highlighting the effort to establish a new Fire department. Jose Lopez, Our business man partner and lead in this project is highlighted in the article as well. We have moved up our time line for instruction in Ayutla to probably the Oct/Nov 2007 time. We hope to have more as we find out about obtaining a Engine.

IN 2008 our return to Tecate may take a interesting twist. Aside from our ongoing training we are looking into putting on a symposium which will involve several departments in the region with the goal to get them all together and talking.

Culiacan is in the works as well, Chief Pat Piper our member from Bates Fire Training here in Tacoma is coordinating with those who have contacted us with experience in Truck Ops to go down for training and equipment. We are currently working on accumulating SCBA's and tanks along with extrication equipment for our brothers and sisters in the city of over 1 million.

The Board of Directors have a school assignment this month. We are working on our newsletter and should have it ready soon.
