Fire engine for Uruapan, Michoacan, Mx.

on . Posted in General News & Announcements

On Saturday September 18, 2021, Firefighters Crossing Borders (FFCB) facilitated the  donation of an fire engine to Bomberos Voluntarios de Uruapan from the State of Michoacan, Mexico.

The engine was donated by Lacey Fire in Washington State (Thurston County Fire District 3) .

Bomberos Latinos is a partner with FFCB and is a group doing similar work to ours. Bomberos Latinos works in the State of Michoacan and they arranged for the Fire Chief and staff from Uruapan, Michoacan to travel to Lacey and receive the engine in person.

After the hand off, the engine is now on its way down to Mexico where it will continue its service to the citizens of Uruapan because of the Lacey Fire Department.

Representatives from Lacey along with FFCB and Bomberos Latinos were on hand to meet the Bomberos where their retired engine will go.

We wish to thank our brothers and sisters with the Lacey Fire Department for their continued support.
