Lion Apparel Joins FFCB in Rotary Project
In the works for several months, Lion apparel has joined with Firefighters Crossing Borders.org and Rotary Mexico to bolster a World Service project initiated by Rotary Mexico and FFCB.
Lion Apparel, A US based company, has over 10,000 ensembles (Turnout Jacket and Pants, Hood, gloves, Helmet) of turnouts from Great Britain which were recently rotated out of service. Unable to be used here in the US or in Europe as PPE, They contacted us to see where we could help in deploying them where they can be used.
With our recently organized Rotary project, this was just what we needed to help get it off the ground. Through the project and with the help of the Mexican National Fire Chiefs Association, we are working to get thousands of ensembles to Firefighters across Mexico and Latin America.
As we did with Hurst in 2009, we are partnering with Lion to provide newer servicable gear where none exist. We look forward to talking with other manufacturers of emergency and medical gear to become involved as well.
