Rotary-FFCB World Service Project adds partner
Since beginning this journey in late 2010 after connecting with Lion Apparel USA, we have recognized the great need for proper, good working Personal Protection Gear throughout Mexico and the Americas. In pursuing this goal to distribute the 7000 plus sets that Lion is making available we have partnered with the Mexican National Fire Chiefs Association to get the word out on this program.
Through our longtime connection with Cal Fire Southern Region Deputy Chief Ignacio Otero, we have now added the (MNFCA) Mexican National Fire Chiefs association as one of the partners for this program. With our new partner we will be attending the Mexican National Fire Chief Association Convention in mid November 2011 to promote this project. Working diligently, our Regional Representative and FFCB Project Lead Retired AC Brian Singleton now residing in the Puerto Vallarta area has brought together all partners to kick off this program. To date we are told that the Fire Chiefs are looking to order the first 500 sets shortly after the Convention.
We are also in the process of looking for other manufacturers and Vendors who have used/surpluses , trade-in and older good working equipment who are interested in continuing the service life through this program. In the past we have partnered with Hurst -Jaws of Life on a special project and are looking to renew that partnership.
You can follow our progress on this site, the Mexican Fire Chief's site and the Rotary Project's site.
