Firefighting Protective Equipment To Bomberos Latinos

40 sets of structural firefighting gear and self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) were donated to Bomberos Latinos of Portland Fire-Rescue (OR) this week. 

Bomberos Latinos Representative Joseph Troncoso received the equipment which will be headed south in February to support programs in two countries.  Troncoso is sending this shipment of gear to firefighters in the cities of La Antigua and Cordoba in Veracruz, Mexico, and the city of Cuilco, Guatemala.  His organization works with numerous fire departments in Central and South America supporting them with consulting, training, equipment, and vehicles.

Firefighters Crossing Borders is proud to support our partner organizations like Bomberos Latinos and newly formed Bomberos Unidos.  Uniting our efforts south of the US border strengthens the support we all provide to our brother and sister firefighters.
